Located only two minutes’ walk from the Newport Railway Station, Reuse
It Baby & Kids Market is located at the grand Substation that was built in
1915.
The indoor market has been held at The Substation since January 2011,
having previously been held at the Finnish Hall in Altona and the Williamstown
Town Hall from its inception in 2009.
Run by a local Newport couple since 2011, the market has grown from 25
to 34 stalls due to the demand for locals to off-load their second hand goods
at this small, intimate market. Stallholders provide quality pre-loved and
recycled items such as clothes, toys, shoes, books, prams & strollers, cots,
port-a-cots, change tables, bikes, trikes, balance bikes, play centres,
play-pens, women's wear including maternity & nursery furniture, as well as
new handmade arts and crafts.
A coffee cart & local community sausage sizzles are a
regular feature every market. The resulting atmosphere at each market is
friendly and buzzing with anticipation of a bargain, as keen shoppers queue
patiently prior to the 9 am opening time, shopping bag in hand.
Bring a recycle shopping bag or three and a shopping buddy.

Plenty of car parking is available and only a two minute walk from the
Newport Train Station.
